Weekend Nights With the Howells

If you have ever wondered what this momma does on a weekend night .... wonder no longer. I spend time with this little man. And he makes me laugh and laugh and laugh. I would not know what to do without him in my life. I love you Caleb!

This picture series started because Caleb was putting his shoes on by himself. He had recently learned how to do it by himself and I wanted to document him being such a big boy. By the time I got the camera out, he had them both on and was playing. As soon as I lifted the camera to my eyes, he started posing.
Sorry for the messy shirt and no pants.
Caleb just got done eating dinner and his pants were SO dirty I took them off.
He was about to get in the bath so we let him run around pantless until bath time.

My little frog

Look at those rosy cheeks!!

This photo series started when Caleb went to the back with Braden while he changed clothes. Then out walked Caleb wearing Braden's boots. Later he wanted ice cream SO bad that he wouldn't let go of the refrigerator until he got some ice cream.

I actually don't remember why Caleb is pantless in this photo

Our Goddaughter

A couple weekends ago my sweet Goddaughter, Micah, was baptised. It was a wonderful service at her church and she looked beautiful. Braden and I are honored to be her Godparents and were happy to share in this wonderful occasion.

Caleb is truly ALL BOY!
I guess he was tired of looking nice because on the way home from the baptism and lunch, I turned around in the car to find Caleb picking his nose.

Cute Pictures of a Cute Caleb

I just came across these pictures and couldn't resist sharing them with everyone.

Caleb was helping Braden "cook" one night in the kitchen. He loved shaking the spices into his bowl.

My favorite boys - just chilling together

Caleb loves to wear he gloves
But he can't say gloves so he calls them his "gubs"
SO CUTE!!

Tumbling Toddler

This past week we started going to The Little Gym with Caleb. It is a wonderful place where children learn and play. It is a great time for Braden and I to get to do something one on one with Caleb.
Caleb was a little hesitant at first with all the loud music and people running around. But he warmed up to the idea fast and ended up loving the gym. We can't wait to take him back for our second class.

Merry Morina Christmas

The day after Christmas we loaded up the car and headed South to Pearland for a Merry Morina Christmas. We had a great time with my side of the family and Caleb enjoyed a second Christmas.
Caleb wanted to hold Lexi on the drive down.
I allowed him to hold her for one minute (she was not happy)

One of my sorority sisters from college has a business that makes a lot of cute monogrammed outfits. I bought Caleb this shirt which he proceeded to get dirty before I could get a picture

Caleb wanted to help everyone open presents. Grandpa let him help

Look closely and you can see Caleb working hard and sticking his tongue out

Oops! Santa left his sack of toys!
I guess Caleb will just have to play with all the toys himself

Caleb got his very own cooking set for Christmas

Caleb was SO excited for all the presents

Mommy got a new scarf and sweater jacket

Attack of Caleb

Mommy was showing Caleb how to work his toy

It might be weird - but I love getting new heads for my electric toothbrush. They are expensive and Santa always comes through with replacement heads in my stocking.

Caleb's social life is about to get really complicated, so he got a cell phone for Christmas

It wouldn't be Christmas without some stylish clothes

The Aftermath

After all the gifts were opened and we were all sitting around talking and playing with our new toys, I looked over and this is what I found
Nice hand placement Caleb!!!

On the front stairs at my parents house, my Mom has set out all these musical animals. Caleb LOVED sitting on the stairs and pushing all the buttons so they would sing and dance.

My mom still has lots of confetti sticks left over from my little sisters wedding in August. So before we left to go back home to Dallas, my mom gave Caleb a couple confetti sticks to play with. He LOVED them.
(not to worry - the confetti is biodegradable)

And THAT is another successful Christmas season from the Howell/Morina crew

Happy HOWELL Holidays

The Howell Trio spent Christmas 2010 with the Howell Family. We had an amazing Christmas filled with lots of family time and gifts galore.
The festivities kicked off on Christmas Eve with church and a family dinner.

We had dinner at Cafe Madrid following church. It was AMAZING! I am so happy I finally got to participate in the Stephen/Donica Christmas Eve dinner.

Christmas morning we woke up to find that Santa had visited our house. There were presents under the tree for everyone. Caleb loved finally being able to open presents.

Caleb & Mommy bought Daddy an IPad. Daddy was one happy guy all day long.

I got a Christmas hug from my main man

I even got a little kiss for Christmas

After we opened presents at our house, we all got dressed (except for Caleb) and headed over to the Howell House for our true Christmas celebration with the family

Random Picture ..... Christmas came early for Caleb this year. Two weeks ago I came home to a Caleb sized piano from Papa & Nana. Along with the piano was an amazing gift of a membership to Little Gym where Caleb will be able to let out some of his energy.

Papa & Caleb love playing together

Nana got a gorgeous new coat from Papa

Amy got a new outfit for work

Barrett got a new set of cleaning supplies
(He is a bit of a clean freak)

Caleb got golf clubs for Christmas

Barrett (Amy said she did NOT pick out this gift) bought Caleb a set of instruments. All I can say is .... payback is hell.

After we opened all the instruments, Caleb passed them out so we could have a Howell Family band

Braden bought Caleb a little computer. So now both of my boys can ignore me and play on their computers.

I was a lucky girl this year .... I got lots of good gifts
Tory Burch Cross Body Bag

Micah tried her first food on Christmas day.
She got a gourmet treat of apples/oranges

Little Lexi Dog got a bone to chew on for the day

Look closely at this picture, you can see Caleb's hair standing on ends from all the static he created by jumping around the couches
