Boo Boo, Zoo, & Other Weekend Happenings

Caleb suffered his first injury last week. Sadly enough, I was the one who injured my poor little baby.
I was giving Caleb his normal bath. At the end of each bath I sit him up to rinse his back and bottom. Well, he didn't want his back rinsed off and squirmed and slipped out of my hands, hitting his little left eye on the bathtub. I immediately yelled for Braden and tried to keep calm. We wrapped Caleb up in his towel and took him to his room to examine his eye. There was a small cut on his eye which bled for about 30 seconds. Caleb cried for a little bit.
Braden was super supportive by taking pictures of the injury and telling me that CPS was going to have to call me to question me and how Caleb got a black eye - thanks Honey, you made the situation so much easier on me :)
I am sorry little man, I never meant to hurt your beautiful blue eyes.

Update: Caleb's eye is fine. It was swollen for about 2 days with a hint of a bruise. I felt like a horrible mom but have since given him another bath with no injuries. If Caleb is anything like his Daddy - this is just the first of many injuries he will live through.

Saturday evening Caleb's school rented out the Dallas Zoo for a social get together. Braden, Caleb, and I attended the fun event. It had been an overcast day so many of the animals were not out. But, we did get to see a few fun things.

This Monitor (lizard) was super creepy and kept following me back and forth as we walked in front of its habitat.
** We did not get a picture of the Albino Alligator but it was super cool too**

On Sunday after church the whole Howell gang (along with Jessica & Matt) met up at Top Golf to hit some golf balls and celebrate Braden's birthday. It was really cold out so we had to bundle up Caleb in his little sweater and blanket.

I love babies who wear hats.
Caleb is not a big fan of hats so I like to take pictures of him in hats while we are out shopping.
Here he is wearing a raccoon hat
