First, I have to say "Sorry Caleb for sharing this story."
The title is the best way to describe my morning.
Caleb woke up early this morning so I got him out of his bed, fed him, and then we got back into my bed (Braden had left for work) until it was time to get up and start getting ready for work/school. Caleb and I talked and played and just loved on each other. Caleb showed me how he can roll from front to back and vice versa. We sang our ABCs and counted our fingers and toes.
Then it came time to get ready for work. So, I propped Caleb up on my pillow, surrounded him with other pillows and went into the bathroom to get ready. I could see him perfectly and kept talking to him while I got ready. I noticed about 15 minutes later that Caleb looked to be a little uncomfortable so I go back into the room to prop him back up.
When I got to the bed Caleb had black stuff on his hands and clothes. I immediately grabbed his toy and looked at it to see what in the heck could have gotten all over him. But the toy was clean. THEN I SAW IT - - - that's right - - Caleb had pooped ALL OVER himself, his blanket, & our bed. It was the biggest blowout I have ever seen. His diaper had burst open, poop ran from his toes up his back and into his hair. I grabbed Caleb, along with all his blankets, and threw him (gently) into the bathtub.
Fifteen minutes later we were good as new and bathed. This was not how I planned out my morning but then again .... S#!T HAPPENS
On a more "motherly" note, I was happy to see that Caleb had a good poop. He was unhappy most of the day yesterday and I think it was because he was constipated. I gave him prunes for dinner last night (which he loved).
Next time he eats prunes, I will put a plastic bag around him until he poops (just kidding).
