Happy HOWELL Holidays

The Howell Trio spent Christmas 2010 with the Howell Family. We had an amazing Christmas filled with lots of family time and gifts galore.
The festivities kicked off on Christmas Eve with church and a family dinner.

We had dinner at Cafe Madrid following church. It was AMAZING! I am so happy I finally got to participate in the Stephen/Donica Christmas Eve dinner.

Christmas morning we woke up to find that Santa had visited our house. There were presents under the tree for everyone. Caleb loved finally being able to open presents.

Caleb & Mommy bought Daddy an IPad. Daddy was one happy guy all day long.

I even got a little kiss for Christmas

After we opened presents at our house, we all got dressed (except for Caleb) and headed over to the Howell House for our true Christmas celebration with the family

Random Picture ..... Christmas came early for Caleb this year. Two weeks ago I came home to a Caleb sized piano from Papa & Nana. Along with the piano was an amazing gift of a membership to Little Gym where Caleb will be able to let out some of his energy.

Papa & Caleb love playing together

Nana got a gorgeous new coat from Papa

Amy got a new outfit for work

Barrett got a new set of cleaning supplies
(He is a bit of a clean freak)

Caleb got golf clubs for Christmas

Barrett (Amy said she did NOT pick out this gift) bought Caleb a set of instruments. All I can say is .... payback is hell.

After we opened all the instruments, Caleb passed them out so we could have a Howell Family band

Braden bought Caleb a little computer. So now both of my boys can ignore me and play on their computers.

I was a lucky girl this year .... I got lots of good gifts

Micah tried her first food on Christmas day.
She got a gourmet treat of apples/oranges

Little Lexi Dog got a bone to chew on for the day

Look closely at this picture, you can see Caleb's hair standing on ends from all the static he created by jumping around the couches

The Girls Christmas Party

The weekend before Christmas we got together with my Girl Friends from college for our annual holiday party. Over the years we have grown from just "the girls" to husbands being included and this year we had our babies included. It is always fun to get everyone together and see the babies.

Mom: "I wish you wouldn't be so adventurous, you are going to break something"

Caleb: "See mom, I can do it myself"

Audrey loved playing on Caleb's piano

(I think they are soul mates - they were born on the same date - just one year apart)

I also made a cake to celebrate Sasha's 29th Birthday

Caleb LOVED the cake

Visiting Santa

A couple weeks before Christmas we took Caleb to see Santa. Cousin Micah joined us for her first time to visit the jolly, old man.

Caleb is REALLY excited to go see Santa

I wanted to share these two random photos I took .....

Lexi was NOT happy to share her bed with him
This is what happens when a Daddy leaves red sharpie marker in the reach of a 21 month old. We had this furniture less than a week when Caleb showed us his artistic side all over the table.
SIDE NOTE ..... hand sanitizer takes marker off tables

Potty Time

Caleb has recently been telling us when he needs to go or has a poo poo. Well, we decided to capitalize on these occasions by getting Caleb his very own potty. We set up the potty in Caleb's bathroom, took off his diaper, and let him sit there for a couple minutes to try it out. MUCH to our surprise, he tinkled in the potty. I think it was just luck that we got him to actually use the potty but we will continue to sit him on the potty and get used to it. Maybe we will be really lucky and he will potty train himself.

I had to share this picture - - - Two weekends ago Caleb was SO tired after playing hard all weekend. He was sitting on the couch with Daddy and eating some Cheerios. When I looked over, he was completely asleep with his hand still in his treat cup. It was adorable!!

Thanksgiving 2010

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with my family in Houston. My sister, Jennifer, hosted Thanksgiving Lunch at her house. There was more food than anybody could possibly eat but everything was so good.
We ate a lot of food, watched too much football, did some mega shopping, and enjoyed a weekend away.

Aunt Jennifer had a pool of balls ready for Caleb to play in. He LOVED it!

Grandpa fed Caleb some chocolate ice cream after lunch
Yum-O!

Caleb went on a walk after lunch to get out of the house and he brought me back this pretty flower.

Caleb LOVES bread. I think he would have eaten the whole basket of rolls if I would have let him.

Friday night the family all went out to Maggiano's to celebrate my big sisters birthday.
She got an IPad.
Braden was jealous :)
