Fourth of July Weekend

The Howell Trio spent the 4th of July weekend split between the Howell Lake House & being home. Friday night we drove up to the Lake House. We ate dinner and played until WAY past Caleb's bed time. Saturday was full of running around town and playing with Nana & Papa. We woke up on Sunday, played some more and then loaded the car to go home.
Sunday we spent the day doing some errands, playing in our blow up pool, and having a barbecue in the backyard. We were lucky enough to get Unc Unc, Aunt Amy, Aunt Bubba, & Uncle Matt to come over to join us for some grilling.
Monday we shopped for cars and ran around town having fun.

It was a nice, long weekend. And I have lots of pictures to prove it.

Isn't this a wonderful view to look at while playing with toys?

Mommy got a new car :)

I have been looking to get a bigger car since Caleb was born. Well, I finally found exactly what I wanted. I didn't want to be a Minivan Mom but wanted something kid friendly.

This is the new addition to the Howell family. Her name is Sandy (because her color is Sand)

Tired Caleb

It's Friday and I just realized I had not updated the blog this week.

There is not much to report. Last Friday Caleb woke up with a temperature of 101. We took him to the doctor and thankfully he could find nothing wrong and blamed the temp on cutting teeth or a little bug going around. Braden stayed home with Caleb for the day and they rested.
Friday afternoon Caleb and I hopped a plane to Pearland to spend the weekend with my parents and throw Jessica (baby sis) a Bridal Shower. Caleb started feeling better as soon as his Grandma & Grandpa started loving on him. Caleb was such a good boy the whole weekend (even though we ran around town the whole time).
On Sunday Jennifer, My Mom, & I threw Jessica a Bridal Shower. She got lots of fun gifts (a couple I tried to steal). Then Sunday evening Caleb and I boarded Southwest again to fly back to Dallas. It was a fast, fun weekend.

I did not have my camera all weekend so all these pictures were taken on my IPhone.

Chuck E Cheese

A few weekends ago Braden, Caleb, and I went to Chuck E Cheese. Our brother & sister-in-law were baby sitting and wanted us to go with them. Here are some of the "pictures" we had made.

OOPS!!
What happened to Caleb's diaper?
Good thing his hiney is the most adorable hiney in the world
So happy to be outside playing

I bought this hat to take with me on a trip to Mexico next month (so excited).
I guess I didn't put it up high enough on the shelf because when I went into the closet to find Caleb, he was wearing my hat :)

Random Pictures

Last week I had a work obligation for most of the week so Caleb and Braden hung out "just the boys" for two nights.

Caleb got to play at Nana & Papa's house
He looks SO cute in this hat

Caleb sent me a wave to tell me he was thinking about me

Aunt Bubba came over one night to see the monkey and sent me this cute picture

Another Wonderful Weekend

It was another fun packed, wonderful weekend for the Howell Trio.

Friday night Braden and I went to our Barrett & Amy's Baby Shower. It was the first time we had left Caleb with anyone except for family. I was a little nervous but everything turned out just fine and he was a good boy for his babysitter. The Baby Shower was a lot of fun. They got lots of great gifts for the baby. We are really excited to welcome our beautiful niece Micah in August.

Saturday morning we met up with our realtor to look at some houses. It was great to see what is out there and get excited about hopefully selling our house and moving into more space. Saturday afternoon was pretty quite with everyone taking a little nap and recharging for a fun celebration in Ft Worth on Saturday evening.
Saturday evening we drove to Ft Worth for a party to celebrate my dear friend Sasha. If you remember about a year ago Sasha was burned in a backyard cookout. She has been working non-stop for the last year on her recovery. She is one of the strongest women I know. It was a great time to celebrate Sasha.

Sunday was really low key. I woke up with no voice and not feeling great. Braden took Caleb to church so I could stay at home and rest and try to feel better. I took a little nap and woke up feeling fine but still had no voice. It is really hard not talking and trying to conserve my voice. Sunday evening we went over to Barrett & Amy’s house to watch them open all the gifts from their Baby Shower. They cleaned up!!

Caleb took a shower with Daddy
Don't forget to squeegee the shower after you are done

Huggies has these Limited Edition Blue Jeans diapers.
I couldn't resist buying some for Caleb.
SO CUTE!

Caleb got one of Braden's shoes out of the closet and was walking around with it on.

Caleb's newest trick is climbing in and out of his dump truck.
We tell him no and to get out. But, sometimes, you just have to photographer your child being bad.

"What? I need to get out of here?"

"Oops! How did I get in here?"

"Row, Row, Row my dump truck"

I took this picture because I wanted to show Caleb's first real bruise.
Last week at school he tripped and hit is face on a chair.
Poor Baby :(

Caleb was mad when we made him get out of the Dump Truck

My Handsome Boys

Caleb has learned to stick his tongue out recently.
He thinks it is SO funny when you stick yours out too.

This is the sweet face that gets Caleb out of trouble
