Ice & Snow in TEXAS

It was a cold, icy, snowy week last week in Dallas. School was canceled Tuesday - Friday and between Braden, Nana/Papa, and me we all entertained Caleb all week inside.

My Cute Snow Baby
It is never too cold to golf

Showing off his gubs (gloves)

Running away from the camera

The snow was so deep the wagon almost disappeared

Caleb would not pose with me

Do you think Caleb has had enough yet??

Caleb loves to ring the chimes in the backyard

Snow accumulation on the patio table

Icicles hanging from my house

The icicles were HUGE

What do you do with a almost 2 year old when you can't spend your time outside and you can't leave the house ?????

1) You make Snow Ice Cream

A little snow

A little milk

A little sugar

A little vanilla extract

A little stirring

A little freezing in the snow

And you have Snow Ice Cream - YUMMY!!

Caleb loved it (probably because it was SO sweet)

2) You play in your bouncy chair that you have not sat in for over a year

3) You lounge around the house
(he took his own socks off - I tried to keep them on his cold feet all week)

4) You make a Caleb cocoon out of the blankets

5) You play with a balloon from Central Market
(static is fun)

6) You eat lots of yummy blueberry pancakes in your pj's

7) You lay in bed with Daddy and read

8) You play in Lexi's dog bed

9) You put on Daddy's hat

It was a LONG week home with Caleb, but we had a blast.

Happy 40th Anniversary

This past weekend we helped my in-laws celebrate their 40th Anniversary. They treated us to a nice (adult only) dinner at the French Room. Dinner was amazing and I really enjoyed being able to relax and have a leisurely dinner with my family without being interrupted by a 2 yr old (but I did miss the little man) :)
