Fun With A Little Boy

Last weekend Braden was working in the yard so Caleb and I went outside to keep him company and swing.

After Caleb's nap he wanted to walk around with no pants on.
Silly boy!

Caleb loved to watch Braden plant flowers in our flower box outside the window.
Such a cute little hiney!

Saturday evening The Howell Trio went over to some friends house, The Slades, for dinner.
Caleb had a great time playing with his friend James.

Like Father, Like Son

We were having our house painted on Monday. When we got home from work/school the house smelled so bad that I had to feed Caleb in the garage.
First we had Black Beans.
Then we had applesauce.
Then Caleb wanted to show me how he was a Big Boy and could feed himself.
Just Precious!

I took these two pictures in honor of my clean freak bro-in-law (better known as Unc Unc).
Caleb would not put down the dust buster!

Every day that I wear my sunglasses, Caleb likes to take them off my face and try to wear them himself. So, I finally remembered to put Caleb's glasses in the car for him to wear on sunny days too.

In the Dog House

Yesterday we bought Lexi a new dog bed. I threw away her old bed and cleaned out her cage. Before I could get the new bed and blanket in the cage, this is what I found [thank goodness it was clean].

Caleb Does NOT Like To Wear Sock/Shoes

Caleb and I have a battle each and every day. I put his socks and shoes on - then he proceeds to take them off. This picture is of me telling Caleb to leave his sock on and Caleb fussing because he wants to take his sock off.

Needless to say, by the time we got home, both socks and shoes were off.
I have learned to pick my battles with this little man.

My Little Trouble Maker

Caleb is at the age/stage where you can not turn your back for one minute or he is causing trouble. This morning I was doing my hair and Caleb was going through my drawers. Then he got quiet and I realized he had moved over toward the shower. When I turned around ... this is what I saw.

He is SO cute so I couldn't get mad. But I made him help me roll some of it back up so it was not all wasted. Caleb is a handful but I LOVE HIM!

Big Boy Caleb

This weekend marked a big event in the life of Caleb Reid Howell. Caleb got his carseat turned around to face the front of the car. He LOVES it so much. He can see what Mommy & Daddy see and we can see him too.

Unc Unc came over on Sunday afternoon to hang out with Caleb. He put Caleb in a box and carried him around like a little package.
They have so much fun playing any time Barrett comes over.

Cute Baby Caleb

I had to share a few pictures of my sweet baby boy from last night.
When we got home from school/work Caleb was asleep in the back seat of the car.
Notice .... 1) Caleb has pulled both shoes off 2) the sunshade is falling off the window.

So angelic when he sleeps

Caleb, Lexi, & I went on a walk with the wagon.
When we got home Caleb wanted to walk Lexi on her leash.

Then Caleb got bored and let the leash go.

Fun Weekend (Away)

This past weekend was a lot of fun. My big sister (Jennifer) came into town and with our little sister (Jessica) we had a Sisters Weekend. We spent Saturday getting mani/pedis and shopping. It was a day full of fun and bonding. We spent the night out on the town and stayed at a local hotel (to be away from all the boys). It was a lot of fun. Question .... how do you get 3 women together for a weekend and end up with NO pictures?? Crazy, but true.

While I was gone on Saturday, Braden enjoyed the outdoors with Caleb and kept me updated on the workings of the Howell Boys while I was out.

Braden took Caleb to our Church's Family Day at the Park where they have a petting zoo along with llamas. Here is Caleb enjoying the animals.
After an afternoon at the park Caleb needed a snack
Then Caleb and Daddy played "hide & seek"
Can you find Caleb?

Later in the afternoon Caleb spent some time with Nana.
She got to show him off to one of her good friends who was in from out of town.
Two Friends with their Beautiful Grandsons

While Caleb was playing with Nana, Papa helped Braden install the swing Caleb got for his birthday. When Caleb got home, he got to try it out. He LOVED it.

When it was time for bed Caleb put on his pajamas and played with some toys.

Then he started to get sleepy

Sunday morning before Church Braden put Caleb in his bouncy seat while he showered.
Do YOU think our 1 year old is too big for his infant bouncy seat?
What else can you do with a 1 Year Old when you are trying to shower and get ready?

After Church I met up with my favorite boys for lunch. Caleb was being silly wearing Nana's sunglasses.

Last, but certainly not least, I had to share this photo.
This is a great example of what it is like to have a toddler in the house. I opened the refrigerator to take out my lunch for work. I turned around and Caleb was standing IN the frig and was throwing the bottled water on the floor.
He is SUCH a big helper.

Easter Weekend 2010

The Howell Trio spent the Easter Holiday Weekend in Pearland visiting my family. It was a packed house with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Jen, Aunt Jes, Uncle Matt, Daddy, Caleb, Me, and 6 dogs. We had a great weekend enjoying the spring weather and eating lots and lots of Easter candy.

Caleb allowed Matt to play with some of his toys

Braden & Matt went to Main Event on Saturday while the girls took Caleb shopping.
Braden won Caleb this wonderful ball & bat.
He also won a whoopy cushion (not pictured)

Is it a bad thing that Caleb's Easter outfit cost more than mine??

Caleb & Mommy

Before Easter lunch Uncle Matt, Caleb & Aunt Jessica played some catch with the bouncy ball.
We are not supposed to throw balls in the house, but they had fun breaking the rules.

I love his little smile

Caleb helped Daddy set the dining room table in preparation for Easter lunch

Who Stole My Bread??

Braden and I ordered some Cheesecake Factory for dinner one night last week. I turned my head and Caleb stole my wheat bread. But, he enjoyed it so much, that I let him keep it.

Yum Yum
