I had to share this picture - - - Two weekends ago Caleb was SO tired after playing hard all weekend. He was sitting on the couch with Daddy and eating some Cheerios. When I looked over, he was completely asleep with his hand still in his treat cup. It was adorable!!

Potty Time
Caleb has recently been telling us when he needs to go or has a poo poo. Well, we decided to capitalize on these occasions by getting Caleb his very own potty. We set up the potty in Caleb's bathroom, took off his diaper, and let him sit there for a couple minutes to try it out. MUCH to our surprise, he tinkled in the potty. I think it was just luck that we got him to actually use the potty but we will continue to sit him on the potty and get used to it. Maybe we will be really lucky and he will potty train himself.

Thanksgiving 2010
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with my family in Houston. My sister, Jennifer, hosted Thanksgiving Lunch at her house. There was more food than anybody could possibly eat but everything was so good.
We ate a lot of food, watched too much football, did some mega shopping, and enjoyed a weekend away.

Aunt Jennifer had a pool of balls ready for Caleb to play in. He LOVED it!

Christmas Lighting & Birthday Party
I am just catching up on some pictures from two weekends ago.
Two weeks ago on Saturday night, it was the Downtown Dallas Christmas Tree Lighting & Reveal of the Neiman Marcus Christmas Tree. The Howell Crew all got together for dinner then went downtown to enjoy the festivities. Downtown was packed with lots of people but we still had a great time.
Sunday we went to Caleb's friend, Ella Grace's 1st Birthday. Caleb had a great time playing with her toys and playing in the bounce house.

Thanksgiving is a time to be Thankful!!
I am THANKFUL for so many things in my life. Here are just a few....
My husband. He is my best friend. I can tell him anything and enjoy every evening I have with him after Caleb is tucked tightly in bed. We laugh, watch TV and talk about our days. I am thankful for him and this time together. I am also thankful that most nights my wonderful husband cooks me dinner. He loves to cook and I love to eat.
I am thankful for Caleb. God gave me the most precious little boy. He is healthy, happy, and makes my day with each hug and kiss. I love being his momma and hope each day that he loves being my son. He is mischievous and proving to be 100% boy each day. As a first time MOM I am learning as I go but just pray I am doing the best job I can. I am thankful for our nightly book readings and singing of "Hush Little Baby." Our bonding time is so important to me.
I am thankful for my dog Lexi. She has taken a backseat to Caleb since he was born but I try to spend time each day just loving on her. I am thankful that Lexi is gentle with Caleb even when he is not gentle with her.
I am thankful for my house. I am trying to sell it BUT it will always be my first home. The home I share with my wonderful husband, the home I brought Caleb home from the hospital to. It keeps me warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Plus I have an amazing closet that I will miss when I move some day.
I am thankful for my supportive parents who love me unconditionally. They have taught me so much and I work hard to make them proud of who I have become. I am thankful that they are such loving grandparents. I know they wish we lived closer so they could see him more often but they always make the most of each visit with Caleb.
I am thankful for my two sisters. I love being the middle child. I am thankful that my little sister lives close by so I always feel like I have family close by. Even though we might not always get along, I know my sisters are always there for me when I need them.
I am thankful for all my friends. It is nice to know your friends are there for you when you need a shoulder to cry on or support you when you are going crazy planning your sons first birthday because everything MUST be perfect for him. I don't see all my friends as often as I wish I did but I know that even after a month or two apart, we can pick up right where we left off.
I am thankful for my relationship with God. Even though it sometimes is hard to get motivated on a Sunday morning, I really enjoy going to church/sunday school each week and celebrating God with my church community. I thank God each day for all my blessings.
I am thankful for my iPhone. I would be lost without it.
I am thankful for my treadmill. It makes getting on and getting a quick workout SO much easier.
I am thankful for my "nice" camera. I love capturing Caleb's every moment and love having the perfect camera to do so.
I am thankful for my squishy pillow. It is old and has two pillow covers on it and then a pillow case but I sleep better when I have it and truly believe it has healing powers when I am not feeling well.
I am thankful for high heels and the ability to walk in them. If you see me Mon-Fri you will most likely see me in taller than tall heels. They make me feel powerful.
Oh and of course I am thankful for mashed potatoes ... I can't wait to eat them tomorrow at Thanksgiving lunch. Yum-O!

Halloween 2010
Halloween 2010 was fun with Caleb being able to run around with the other kids and play. The neighborhood had a fun Fall Festival to kick off the night. The kids hit pinatas and bobbed for apples. They all got a goody bag and lots of treats.
